Hada Labo Gokujyun Alpha is the age-care evolution of Japan's best-selling toner range — a medicated formula combining deep hydration with visible care for fine lines, firmness, dark spots and dullness. In Japanese skincare, a lotion is a hydrating toner used after cleansing, prepping skin to absorb everything applied next. Niacinamide is the key active, softening the look of fine lines while suppressing melanin production to fade dark spots, alongside three types of hyaluronic acid — including acetylated sodium hyaluronate, the signature Hada Labo ingredient — for layered, lasting moisture. Phellodendron bark extract soothes and meadowfoam seed oil seals it in, without a greasy feel. The texture is slightly richer than the original Gokujyun, suiting dry, dehydrated and mature skin.
